Hello,I am Opemipo,the only daughter of the Stanley's family.
We are not rich but in the middle class.
I've got a sweet mother and a lovely father.

I sighed after writing that in my diary.
It was a really hectic day but I need to fill my diary first. I just came back from school and am so exhausted from the rigorous work because our sport competition will be in two months time and we were all forced to be in one group or the other.

I closed my diary and went out of my room.
We lived in a bungalow.
The house is so bored,my troublesome brother isn't at home yet.
Yeah I've got a brother,I mean elder brother,he's so protective of me that no guy is expected to stay close to me.

I do find that a stupid act because it's really choking me.
But I love my brother being protective of me but not over protective.
I ate my lunch and sat in the sitting room to watch a movie.
I turned on the television to see them showing a boring movie.
I threw the remote on the chair and walked to my room obviously fraustrated

I went back to my diary to write again.
Second term ss2 was fun.My bestfriend and others made it fun.
Our school itself is fun
Learning is fun but mathematics seems boring to me.
Then I remembered something and smile then smile again.
"Hey"
I froze
I just heard a voice...

"Your dad's birthday is in four months time"
"March,April,June,July...I reasoned I'm my head.
Then I burst out laughing.
Mum was giving me a pitiful look.
"Oh mum,is that why you are sad? I asked*
I thought it a thing of celebration"I said.
Do you know what your dad will be in four months?
Fo..u..r m.o..n.th..,I reasoned.
I don't understand mum"
Okay, Remember when your uncle Peter died,what's he doing on that day..
On that day??
Bir...th..day...."Then it hit me hard
50 YEARS!!!!!

Mum!!!! I squealed.
Don't let it be what am thinking"
"It is my dear, she replied looking downcast"
My briefcase fell from my hand and I was weighed down and then I heard an attack .
Oh,I forgot to say,am a asthmatic patient.

Mom quickly open my briefcase to bring out my inhaler but couldn't find it there and I was indicating her to check my pocket.
She did and found it.
I used it and my nerves calmed down.
"I've been telling you to take things easy"
"On the matter on ground???Hell no.

I couldn't go to work again,I am really sad.I and mom sat in the sitting room saying nothing till Sarah and Mira came back from school.
Mira was the first to notice.
"What's going on with the sad mood"
We said nothing.
Okay,Let me remind you guys,dads birthday is in four months so I bought him a gift!!.
She brought out a birthday card and flowers and started displaying it asking mum if they will celebrate so that she can invite some of her friends.
Sarah was mute all the time Mira was advitising her teeth.
I tried to shut her up but she won't yield and mum who can shut her up is moody
"Mira shut up and to your room"
"Oh no,she whined" mum is still listening"she pouted
Then suddenly,Mum burst out crying

Her shower just got faulty while having her bathe.
"Mum,she called"
Mira come downstairs immediately"
"My shower just got spoilt"
"The same way you are spoilt"she threw back*
"Mum???
"Go to my bathroom,and hurry up"she added.

I went to mum's bathroom and spent more time there
"Mira it's 7:30
On hearing that she got out of the bathroom and ran to her room where she slipped and fell.
"Ouchhh,mum!!!!

That's the trouble of the baby of the house.
I took my bath and dressed in suit.
Off to office.
I met mum in the kitchen
"Good morning mum"
"Morning dear"How was your night"
"Mira won't stop making noise at my room door"

What happened to your leg"mum asked while trying to help her sit"
Mum and daughter were discussing when Sarah joined us,we ate together.
"Bye mum"Sarah said" and went to school,she doesn't like being taken to school unlike spoilt Mira who would love thousand of cars to carry her to school.
I was about going to my place of work when mum stopped me to have a conversation with me.
"Daniel,you know I love you and yours sisters right"
"Mum,go straight to the point please,am almost late.
"She sighed"
"Mum, are you okay*
No,I'm okay
