Fiction.
Daniel is the New tenant who just moved in to uyo from oron. He is a young school graduate, and is a devoted christian who firmly believes in christ.
Daniel fInds himself one morning standing in a Big dark hall.
"Where am i? " He ask himself with perplexity written all over his face as his voice resonated around the building.
Daniel turning from left to right having this puzzle look on his face, ran his hands through his hair as Expletive escape from his mouth "Oh God"
"Do not be afraid." A man wearing white bellowed as he walked closer to daniel. Darkness dwindles and light break forth slowly.
Daniel feels this cool breeze that ignited Goosebumps all over his body immediately he heard the voice. He je**ed and turn to his right.
" Hello sir please where am i, cause am actually running late ....." daniel said with an innocent voice as that of a child, subsequently interposed.
"Late For joy in the morning service? "The man cuts in with a smile on his face.
"Ho...how did you know?" Daniel drowned in thoughts stuttered and asked.
"Follow me" The man said as they both walk through a narrow road that lead to a junction.
They both reaching the junction, Daniel Saw an inscription written on a Big board on his left "Hell" And from where he was he could vividly hear the cry and moaning of peoples.
The same Big board with an inscription "Heaven" was on his right and he heard trumpets and voices of people singing.
Slowly all what he saw was unfolding informations on where he was to him.
"Do you know this man?" The man on white garment ask pointing fingers on what looked like a plasma television positioned in front of them.
"yes, that's Alaye my neighbor. " Daniel answered and said confidently.
"you are about to see what will happen to him if he doesn't make a contrite return to God. " The man said having this stern look. If it were to be a movie i bet the would change the background music because Daniel saw seriousness on his face.
Subsequently, I saw him(Alaye) on a vehicle, the vehicle was driving along a rural area.
Reaching his destination he alight from the vehicle, paid the transport fare and glance at his right and left to see if anyone was watching. He saw no one hence, he walked inside a bush.
He made his way to an uncompleted building, and he shouted "who Goes dey. "
Immediately boys smoking cigarette and girls with ear rings on their nose holding a gun replied and said "obembe whither na, " they shaked their hands in their usual greeting style.
They went inside the building the gathered around and the leader which happens to be Alaye, stood up and was discussing on how they will embark on a brawl mission against their opposing gang called "Axemen"
Immediately the police entered some surrounded the bush and the leader went inside, and pointed a gun at them and said "drop your gun down or we shoot. "
Alaye stood up and yelped "tah which one be we, na only you, you come say we you no go calm down...".
The police man smiled and snaps his left finger, the police men that surrended the building all stood up.
A lady they r***d last two weeks, who crawled to the main road and was rushed to the hospital by a woman who was just coming back from the farm came out sobbing and said "That's him! " pointing her finger at Alaye.
Immediately Alaye saw the girl he yelped "s**t" and one of his gang member added "Alaye why you no been kpai this girl why, why." A group of police who surrounded them all stood up and pointing guns at each one of them as they all lifted their hands up and surrender.
"on three count" The leader said as all the police men got ready to fire.
"three, two, one"the leader said as the police men laid waste to all the criminals at once, leaving their co**se in the building.
Daniel je**ed up from his bed saying repeatedly in his heart "i have to tell him".
I have to tell him!
