Flower of Maryam or saints Mary's flower (Anastatica hierochuntica) is a small shrub collected across North Africa, Saudi Arabia, Iran, and Pakistan, and among its most popular medicinal uses is its application for childbirth. Over the years midwives in the Arab world have testified to the efficacy of flower of Maryam(shajaratul Maryam) for safe delivery.

Its constituents including alkaloids, anastatins, bioflavonoids, glucosinolates, saponins, sterols/triterpenes, and tannins. It also contains a number of elements useful for pregnancy and labor, including calcium, magnesium, potassium, zinc, and iron; in particular, calcium and magnesium work together to coordinate and regulate smooth muscle contractions.
How to use:- Rinse it, soak in water for some hours and drink the water afterwards (dry it when not in use)
It should be used when the pregnancy is up to 8months or during labour.
