Cheetahs are one of the most fascinating big cats—and surprisingly, they’re generally very shy around humans.
There are no documented cases of a wild cheetah killing a human, and studies describe attacks on people as extremely rare.
But calling them “giant house cats” is a little misleading. 😅 Cheetahs are still powerful wild predators with sharp claws and teeth. In captivity, there have actually been fatal incidents involving cheetahs, so they should never be treated like ordinary pets.
What makes them different from lions, tigers and leopards is their personality and hunting style. Cheetahs are built more for speed than fighting, and they usually prefer to run away from danger rather than confront it.
So yes—the world’s fastest land animal can also be one of its most peaceful big cats toward humans. 🐆💨❤️
