🌿 Now available in all our shops: Cascade Juniper Berry bonsai 🌳

What makes a cascade bonsai so special is the way it grows downwards, almost like a tree hanging from the side of a mountain. It gives the bonsai a dramatic, wild look and makes it beautiful from every angle.

Junipers are true bonsai classics. Their small evergreen needles, twisting branches and rugged appearance make them look like ancient trees in miniature. They also stay green throughout the year and can be shaped further as they grow.

Have you ever wondered why we trim our plants? 🌿✂️

Trimming isn't just about making a plant look nice. It also helps keep it healthy and growing its best.

🍃 Brown leaves at the bottom are completely normal. As plants grow, they naturally shed their oldest leaves so they can focus their energy on producing fresh new growth. Removing these yellow or brown leaves helps the plant look tidier, improves airflow, and reduces the chance of pests or mold hiding among old foliage.

🌳 Bonsai need regular trimming too. Without pruning, branches keep growing longer and the tree slowly loses its beautiful miniature shape. By trimming back new growth, the bonsai puts its energy into creating a fuller canopy, smaller leaves, and a balanced structure that has been carefully shaped over time.

A little trim every now and then can make a big difference. You will make healthier plants and happier plants! 💚

💜 What’s the most purple plant you’ve ever seen?

The Strobilanthes metallica might be the option we will give! Its leaves have a beautiful mix of deep purple, silver, and green, and the colour can look slightly different depending on the light.

This special plant originally comes from Java, Indonesia, where it grows in warm and humid conditions.

Will the purple colour fade? A little, if the plant does not get enough light. Keep it in a bright spot with indirect sunlight to help the leaves stay colourful. Too much strong direct sun can damage the leaves.

We just stocked up with some beautiful Anthuriums and Alocasias, and we love their amazing leaf patterns!

These plants come from warm, humid rainforests where sunlight filters through the trees and reaches the ground in soft patches.

We think they’re some of the most stunning houseplants you can own. Every leaf is unique and almost looks hand-painted.

The beautiful Ginkgo bonsai has just arrived at our store! Known as a true living fossil, the Ginkgo tree is one of the oldest tree species on Earth, with ancestors dating back more than 200 million years. Amazingly, these ancient trees existed long before dinosaurs disappeared and have survived virtually unchanged through the ages.

Beyond its fascinating history, Ginkgo has also been valued in traditional medicine for centuries. Ginkgo leaves are widely used in herbal medicine and are believed to support memory, concentration, and healthy circulation.
