Bodega A Coroa is a family-owned winery in A Rúa, Valdeorras (Ourense), revived in 2002 by fourth-generation growers López Vicente with a clear mission: to craft expressive, terroir-driven Godellos from their own 23 hectares of vines planted on sun-drenched, slate-granitic soils at 300–700 m altitude. They practice low-yield, integrated viticulture—3,000 vines/ha, manual harvesting by parcel—to preserve purity and reveal distinct microclimates.

Fermentation and ageing are handled with precision, yielding varietal Godello wines like "A Coroa Lías"," 200 Cestos" and "Ladeira Vella," celebrated for their crystalline aromatics (citrus, white flowers, saline-mineral tones), crunchy acidity and lingering texture.

Thanks to everyone who came to last Sunday’s Corpinnat tasting. It was lots of fun!

We partnered up with and had Raúl come from Spain to showcase and explain all of the amazing sparkling wines and everything that they produce at Nadal.

Also, we had some delicious bites prepared by to pair with the wines. From a nice, fresh gazpacho to some crispy and creamy croquettes, this tasting highlighted many of the wonders of Spanish cuisine.

🍇 These wines are crafted with a mix of Catalonian varieties: Macabeo, Parellada and Xarel·lo, each wine having one of these as its main highlight.

All of the grapes are hand-harvested, and wines undergo fermentation processes of up to 72 months, resulting in biological bottles with deep complexity and fine bubbles.
