You asked about .dk so many times, we knew we had to bring it in.

Now it’s a permanent part of our playroom. Open-ended, made for climbing, balancing and building at their own pace.

Come try it before you decide if it’s right for your home.

Calm space. Prepared environment.
Children go deep.

This is what Montessori looks like at 1 year old - a child, a simple toy, and deep concentration that nobody interrupted.

When the environment is prepared and the toy is the right fit, focus happens naturally. Every time.

A child counts shells for the twentieth time. Another watches ants navigate a crack in the concrete. Someone builds a castle that will crumble, rebuilds it anyway. A hand touches bark, then moss, then sand still warm from the sun.

This is where learning happens, not in lessons, but in looking. In wondering. In the freedom to follow what catches their eye for as long as it holds their attention.

Undirected play isn’t time filler. It’s the foundation. The space where curiosity leads, where hands and senses do the teaching, where a child learns who they are and what the world feels like.

The Buddha Board was one of the first things we put on our shelves when Monti’s World opened, and it’s never left. 🪷

Still a favourite, for kids from 1.5 years old all the way up to adults.

But here’s the thing, it’s not really a toy. It’s a mindful activity you set up for your child. Just water, a brush, and a board. They draw, watch it fade, and start again. No mess, no noise, no screen.
It teaches something quietly important: that things don’t have to last to be beautiful.

A special gift for any age, and one of ours from day one.

You spent €50 on a toy. They played with the box.

Before you write it off as a failed purchase, there are a few things worth considering.

One of the most underrated Montessori principles is this: observe first. Not every child who ignores a toy dislikes it. Sometimes they’re not ready. Sometimes the shelf is simply too full for anything to stand out. When children see 20 options, they see nothing and that overwhelm quietly shuts play down.

Swipe through for three questions to ask before giving up on a toy. And if it really isn’t a match? We’ve got you covered with our resale programme.
