Leather doesn't stop changing once you take your shoes off.

Did you know a boar hair applicator brush can also be surprisingly useful on suede?

After cleaning suede, a clean horsehair brush can gently lift the nap and remove loose dust without being too aggressive. It's not a replacement for a crepe brush, but it's an excellent tool for regular maintenance between deeper cleaning sessions.

Just make sure the brush has never been used with shoe cream or wax before. Once contaminated, it's no longer suitable for suede.

These two tins contain the same type of product, but from two different Saphir ranges.

The black tin is Saphir Médaille d’Or Pâte de Luxe. It has a richer formulation, a smoother application and is the version we usually recommend when you want the best possible finish on quality leather shoes.

The blue and gold tin is the Saphir Beauté du Cuir version. It is more affordable and still perfectly suitable for regular polishing, adding protection and shine without making the process complicated.

Both are traditional wax polishes. The difference is mainly in formulation, refinement and price, rather than in how they are used.

Cedar shoe trees help the shoes dry in their proper shape, reducing wrinkles over time while also absorbing excess moisture and unwanted odours.
