July 31, 2026:
BLAST FROM THE PAST VISITOR: THOMAS VAN DER ZEE
I know Thomas from The Hague since he was just 17, which was in 1999. He was a friend from then Jan Boer and Jeroen.
We saw each other's at their birthdays and from going out.
Today Thomas showed 2 Belgium friends my city Delft and he happened to just passing my shop and we both recognised each other. Of course a picture in the big red wooden shoes is a must.
Small talking with the Belgiums (30 and 40ish) I mention Sofie Verbruggen and Trinity and Dream Express... to my surprise (read: horror) they never heard of them. I said that is Belgium Pop Culture Heritage! They promised me to look into them...

R.I.P. COR KAUDERER
1942 - Juni 2026 (84)
Cor was de 47 jaar de echtgenoot van Laura LR Kauderer-Stolk van Laura's Gift Shop op de Wijnhaven te Delft, daarvoor in Scheveningen. Cor werkte daar ook.
Als Souvenir collega over de jaren Cor regelmatig meegemaakt.
Ik zal hem mij blijven herinneren als een energieke, vriendelijke man met humor.
De laatste maanden werd hij ernstig ziek en heeft hij zijn strijd uiteindelijk moeten opgeven. En verlost van zijn lijdensweg.
Ik wens Laura en de Familie Kauderer - Stolk veel sterkte in de periode die komen gaat.

REMEMBRANCE BIRTHDAY:
DICK AAD BUIS * July 2, 1958 - † July 14, 2020 (62)
Founder of Delft Souvenir Shop in 2011, as a division of Holland-Souvenir (1955 - 2019)

Mr. Dick Buis hired me in 2011 as an Assistant Manager and in 2016 he sold me his shop, which I am always grateful for, for believing in me and giving me the chance to become a Shopowner and Entrepreneur.
After the transaction there were some problems and we slowly lost contact.
Dick passed away during Covid-19.
Survived by his mother, 2 daughters Pamela and Kimberley and a partner Winie.
