We mochten gisteren een nieuwe tafel leveren bij een klant die al eerder een mooie boomstamtafel vergadertafel had gekocht met persoonlijke epoxy eleementen erin, mooi om te zien hoe tijdloos deze tafel is gebleven na al deze jaren!

​We are so incredibly proud to share this recent creation from our workshop at Iqonya Natural Interiors right here in Zevenhuizen, Netherlands! We paired the wild, historic grain of natural olive wood with a deep, rich emerald green epoxy pour, and the result is honestly breathtaking. It feels like a literal river of emerald flowing right through the wood. 🌿💚

Take a closer look at our latest creation straight from the workshop! We crafted this river table using naturally sourced Turkish Juniper, preserving its incredible raw edges and striking color contrasts. To capture the true essence of the forest, we embedded delicate natural moss deep within the glass-like epoxy river.

Nothing beats the feeling of seeing a table finally sitting right where it belongs in a client's home. 🪵

​When this client came into our Zevenhuizen workshop to design their piece, we went through our stock together before landing on these exact cedar slabs. The grain and those raw natural edges were just too good, and I knew right away we had to do a wide river pour to really let the wood's character breathe.

​Cedar smells incredible in the shop, but getting that seamless, perfectly flush transition between the live edge and the resin takes hours of meticulous sanding by hand. We custom-mixed this deep, moody teal to perfectly contrast the warm, blonde tones of the cedar wood. We always use top-quality epoxy that is completely scratch-resistant and doesn't yellow, guaranteeing this river stays looking crisp and vibrant for decades. Mounted the whole thing on some heavy-duty matte black steel U-legs to keep the design grounded and let the tabletop be the absolute star of the room.

If you swipe back to the first photo, you can see exactly where this project started: just two beautiful, raw slabs of wood. As a maker, it’s always a great feeling to take something straight from nature and turn it into a custom piece for a client here at Iqonya Natural Interiors.

​The goal was to respect the organic shape of the wood. I used a clear epoxy to fill the natural gaps and bind it all together smoothly, while letting the character of the grain speak for itself. The detail I honestly enjoyed working on the most is the channel down the middle. Finishing it with white stones and a bit of greenery just adds a really nice, fresh contrast to the warm wood tones. 🌱

​We paired the top with a solid steel base to ground the whole design. I’m genuinely happy with how this table turned out, and I hope the new owners share many great meals and conversations around it for years to come.

I’m really quite happy with how this epoxy bar table turned out. Nature always provides the most beautiful canvas, and my job is simply to help it along and give it a strong foundation. It’s quiet moments like this in the workshop that remind me why I love this craft so much.
