Japan's Tattoo Artist Horihide's World

Horihide's World is a rare Japanese publication on tattoos dedicated to the work of the legendary tattoo artist Horihide. Published in 1989, the book presents large-format photographs of traditional Japanese tattoos, including horimones (full-body tattoos), backpieces, sleeves, bodysuits, and detail studies.

The book was compiled by the Japan Tattoo Institute and published in collaboration with Chōyūkai, making it an important reference work within the history of modern Japanese tattoo documentation. Copies of this book are becoming increasingly difficult to find.

Due to age, the original binding/glue has weakened and some pages have come loose. However, the pages themselves are still in excellent condition. The book shows light signs of wear due to age and storage.

A valuable addition for collectors of Japanese tattoo books, horimone reference works, and out-of-print tattoo publications.

Condition:
Visually in very good condition, with age-related wear to the binding.

The book itself appears to have been used very little. The pages are clean and bright, with minimal signs of use. A few pages have come loose due to age-related wear of the glue/binding.

The original slipcase is not present.
