Fly Fishing Adventure – West Papua | November 2026
We’re looking for 2 additional fly fishers to join us for an unforgettable adventure to West Papua in November 2026. (Total group 6 persons)
The trip will be split into two parts:
🎣 Part 1 – Papuan Bass & Spotted-tail Bass
We’ll fish remote rivers and lakes, targeting Papuan Bass and Spotted-tail Bass in some of the most untouched waters you’ll ever experience.
🌊 Part 2 – Barramundi
We’ll then head to the saltwater, where we’ll target Barramundi, mainly by wading the beaches.
Both locations are world-class fisheries, surrounded by spectacular wildlife and pristine wilderness. This will be my fourth trip to West Papua, and once again we’ll be fishing with the same experienced guide.
We’ll be fishing the rivers and lakes from boats, while the saltwater sessions will be done on foot. Although Papuan Bass, Spotted-tail Bass, and Barramundi are our primary targets, we’ll undoubtedly encounter plenty of other exciting species along the way.
This is a true fishing adventure—remote, wild, and authentic. Don’t expect luxury lodges or fancy resorts; this trip is all about incredible fishing, amazing scenery, and good company.
11th Nov (11/11/2026) Arrival Nabire, night town then 12-13-14-15-16 bass fishing, 17 transit Timika night town, Start 18 then 19-20-21-22 barra fishing, 23 return Timika overnight, 24 back home.
