Apeldorn - knit in Plein Air, a lovely merino wool and organic cotton blend. This version is made with a straight body (as opposed to A-Line) and modeled with no ease.

Meet Apeldoorn! My new pattern, available now on Ravelry.

Apeldoorn is knit in the round from the bottom up. The stitch pattern is worked in two contrasting colors, just one color per round. Using just simple knit, purl, slip stitches and alternating colors create interesting stripe patterns. The pattern evolves up the sleeves to the yoke with subtle pattern changes and the increase of more rounds of the main color.
The pattern features two versions, A-Line and Straight Body. Shown is the A-Line version with extra long sleeves, worn with 4" of positive ease. Pattern is written for 10 sizes.

New design - Snook!
Available now on Ravelry.
Snook hat is worked in the round from the bottom up in garter stitch with a long multi color striping yarn and two different Dip stitch patterns. Dip stitches are fun ways to create movement in the colors.
I've used Urth Yarns Uneek Worsted and Uneek DK for these samples, just one skein for each adult hat.

New pattern release!
Jamestown is knit in the lovely Uneek Worsted. One skein will make the smaller cowl and just two skeins makes the longer cowl! The yarn has a long gradation of colors which enhance the eyelet chevron stitch pattern. The longer cowl can be doubled for extra warmth.

Introducing my latest design, available now on Ravelry!
Pinehurst evokes a lovely romantic feel, with decorative decreases forming the raglan shaping, a funnel neckline and back box pleat. It’s knit in stockinette stitch with a strand of Berroco Lanas Light held together with Berroco Aerial creating a slightly marled fabric with halo.

My LYS, closed yesterday. I'm sad. But I'm thankful to Shawnee for so many things. For her trust in me to design projects for the shop's anniversaries and yearly yarn crawls. For accepting all my samples to be on display in the shop and for showing everyone - have you seen Martha's latest? For sharing my designs on Facebook and Instagram. For creating events around my milestones - book signings and Knit Stars. For talking through design ideas with me and giving me so much encouragement. For the ablilty to visit the shop ANY day, sit at her table with knitters and crocheters. To hear a knitter ask a question about the instructions in one of my patterns - this made me a better pattern writer. I could go on and on. But mostly I am thankful to Shawnee for creating such a lovely community that I could be part of. And for being my friend. Always. Love you lady!
