Almost a week ago already, but I am still reminiscing about some magnificent days in Palma de Mallorca. I had the privilege of crewing this beautiful Dutch X-562 in the Spanish X-Yachts Gold Cup. It was special because I used to paste pictures of this boat in my school planner when I was young, and very special to be able to sail with a crew that goes back many years together and still sails the course with enthusiasm and great pleasure. Wonderful days with beautiful sailing weather in the bay, lots of fun, and delicious food. And oh yes, not entirely unimportant, this ‘old’ boat is still competitive and beats the more modern X-Yachts. Many thanks to Marisja’s crew for a fantastic event.
