Growers have to deal with very strict Dutch and European legislation and regulations. There are annual checks on compliance with these regulations. New technologies and developments are making the sector more sustainable at a rapid pace.
The Zuidplas is very busy with the influence and effect of a better living environment inside and outside the greenhouse 🌍. In this way we grow in an environmentally conscious and sustainable way. Our selection is extensive, consisting of the basic colours white, red, yellow, pink, purple, orange and cream. Of course, we also supply two-tone flowers, multi-coloured flowers or shades based on the colours above. All our colours come in a spectrum of shades. The beautiful heart of the flower is available in green or black. Whatever your preferences, there is plenty of choice 🌼. The growers within Summit Gerbera form workgroups together. There are workgroups for Quality, Sales, Marketing, Finance and Digitization. The workgroup quality focuses on the development of new kinds of gerberas and ensuring the quality ✅ of the gerberas are as good as ever.

Back in history.👈 Mister Weerheim, our grandfather, once started with growing vegetables. In 1979, his son Johan (right) decided to grow colorful gerberas. His sons Leen (middle) and Juriaan (left) later decided to join the family company. Nowadays we are growing colorful gerberas on over 6 acres of land.
