I used to make beaded items for myself and co-workers started ordering matching sets of jewerly back in the 1990's. I later started making candles, globe glass painting and then had a brilliant idea to use beads with acrylic paint so to focus on a specific object. I always admired how the older generation could create such beautiful pieces of crocheting but it seemed so complicated. I tried my hand at it with the help of a family friend, Amy Thornton. She showerd me the basics and made me redo it over and over until my crocheted rectangle looked like one. With the help of my aunt Leticia (1yr older than myself), we crocheted my first item - a red beret for my mum. I moved to the Netherlands a few years later. With the persistence and watching instructional YOUTUBE videos, I started crocheting, learnt how to make beaded flowers and many more. I was simply hooked especially on crochet.
