Even a little moment for myself after a day full of meetings here in Marrakech, before I get back in the car and head to Agafay for a very special private event tonight.

And while sitting here I realised how close we are getting to the retreats in Morocco this autumn:

Today I’m spending the day in Marrakech, after being on the road quite a lot lately.

I stopped by one of the areas where local artisans sell their pottery, sea grass and other handmade pieces, just to pick up some of my things.

It’s also one of those places I sometimes take my participants when we are in Marrakech together. If they want to come along, I like showing them where I get certain things and introducing them to some of the people behind the handmade pieces you see everywhere in Morocco.

Just a little part of my day in Marrakech today. I’m only here for the day, because at the end of the afternoon I’m packing my things again, getting back in the car and heading off to my next place. So yes, I’m on the road again.

We’ve been working on something new behind the scenes for 2027.

And this time, I’m creating it together with someone else… but I’m not telling you who just yet.

I’m not going to share too much about it either. Not yet.

But I can tell you that it will be a completely new journey through Morocco.

And if you look at this photo a little longer… it probably tells you more about what we’re working on than I’m going to tell you today.

A little update from the Moroccan coast today.

My clients have a few hours to themselves this morning, so I’m spending some time with a friend, finally seeing her new shop, having lunch together and catching up on everything that has happened lately here in Morocco.

And of course, when we sit together, it never stays with just catching up, because before we know it we’re talking about new ideas, new projects and some very exciting new Morocco journeys for 2027.

And yes… the videos are still part of the challenge I’m doing while I’m here, right up until I go back to the Netherlands. So you’ll probably hear “hello hello” a few more times before then.

Nothing is set in stone yet, but there are definitely some plans on the table.

I don’t drink coffee myself, but I still had to stop here.

Not really for the coffee, but because it immediately took me back to the beautiful journey Jacoline and I made through Morocco to the Sahara.

Every time we passed a little coffee stand, a roadside coffee cart or anything that even looked like it might serve coffee, Jacoline wanted to stop. And of course, we did.

Funny how something so small can suddenly bring back an entire journey. The long drives through Morocco, our conversations in the car, the laughter, the unexpected stops along the way… all those little moments that you don’t plan, but somehow become some of the best memories.

So when I saw this place along the road, I simply had to stop.

No coffee for me. Just a little reminder of our journey to the Sahara. And a very special one. 🤎

Sometimes you need to change the plan.

I’m usually the one who keeps going.
There’s always something to arrange, somewhere to be, someone to meet. And changing my plans simply because I feel like I need some time for myself? That’s not really me.

But this time I did.

I changed my schedule, came here and decided that for a little while, nothing has to happen. No plans to follow, no places I need to be. Just some time to sit, think, look around and let everything settle a little.

This photo was taken without me knowing, and maybe that’s why I like it.

And I have to admit… changing the plan feels pretty damn good sometimes.

Some journeys change your life. Others change who you are.

When I look back at my life, there are moments that changed everything without me realising it at the time.

You don’t notice it while you’re living it.

You only see it when you look back.

For me, it wasn’t one conversation or one decision.

It was a feeling I couldn’t ignore anymore.

A feeling that I was exactly where I was supposed to be.

That feeling slowly gave me the courage to make different choices, to listen less to what everyone else expected from me and a little more to what felt right for me, even when I couldn’t explain it to anyone.

Looking back now, I realise that the biggest journey was never about where I was.

It was about who I was becoming.

And that’s probably why I believe so deeply in creating these journeys for other women.

Not because I want them to experience my story.

Because I hope they give themselves the chance to discover their own.
