Sometimes the ugliest thing in the room saves the day 🥵

It’s 35 degrees in Rotterdam and for the first time ever, we are genuinely grateful for that white box on the wall. You know the one. The air conditioner. The thing we’d rather not see hanging above our gallery wall 💙

We’re running a heat wave schedule this week, so we’re open today (Thursday), Friday, and Saturday until 15:00. Come in early, cool down, and take your time. The art still looks good. And we’ll be here, smiling, with chilled air and good company. Zwaanshals 484 ❄️

Blue is everywhere at FENIX. 💙 Hana El-Sagini’s “The Big Blue Slippers” made us stop and read every word on that label. In Egypt, slippers carry the memory of home. Blue has been the color of protection since antiquity. That’s not decoration. That’s thousands of years of meaning in one object. Step up on the Tornado and Rotterdam takes over 🌪️ That sky, that skyline... Blue without even trying. Visits like this are exactly why we do what we do. 🫶
