The cacoa tree knows it’s origin in Mid America and the north of South America. Around this area, cacoa has been cultivated and processed in different products for thousands of years. Of course we all know and love chocolate, but because of the added sugar and milk it’s probably one of the least healthy options to consume cocoa. Cause did you know that pure, unprocessed cacoa contains more than 300 very healthy, very valuable ingredients?
Some of those healthy elements are dopamine and serotonine, which explains the warm and happy feeling one gets from consuming chocolate. Unprocessed cacoa also has the highest iron- en magnesium content of all plants. It even contains more calcium than milk!
For centuries, raw cacoa has been drinked in ceromial atmospheres, to be traced back even to the Mayand and the Azteks. The ceromonial use of pure cacoa can be a spiritual journey of unity, love and extasty. It can improve creativity and clarity of the mind and spirit and it can help you reconnect with the loving energy that lives in all of us.
Before you drink the cacoa, it’s a good idea to set an intention for what you want to get out of the experience. When you take in the hot, brown drink, you might be surprised by the intense, bitter taste of it. This is the actual taste of cacoa. Like explained earlier, chocolate has to thank sugar and milk for it’s sweet and delicious taste.
After drinking the raw cacoa, the body will relax because of the quantity of magnesium, antioxidants and other minerals. What happens next, is that you can wind up in a euphoric state. Mental blockages can be released and the process can create space to meditate and connect with your inner wisdom and higher self.
