🇳🇱 Een keten met mensen, geen schakels
Achter elk blokje chocolade zit een keten – maar liever spreken we van een gemeenschap. Want Ghana Health Care draait om samenwerking, niet om schakels.
is als chocoladeproducent de spil in dit verhaal. Samen met tien chocolademerken – waaronder wij bij Cru de Cacao – betalen zij mee aan de verzekeringen van meer dan 1.600 boeren en hun gezinnen. bouwde het digitale systeem, en de Ghanese coöperatie zorgt dat alles lokaal werkt.
Iedereen doet waar hij goed in is: technologie, organisatie, productie, én de financiering. Er is geen top-down structuur, maar een netwerk van vertrouwen. Want je bouwt geen eerlijk systeem alleen – dat doe je samen.
En het mooie is: dit model werkt. Zonder tussenpersonen, met directe impact. Boeren worden sterker, gezonder, veerkrachtiger. Chocolade wordt eerlijker, transparanter, menselijker.

Behind every piece of chocolate is a supply chain – but we’d rather call it a community. Because Ghana Health Care is about collaboration, not just logistics.
Felchlin, the Swiss chocolate producer, is the backbone of this project. Together with ten chocolate brands – including us at Cru de Cacao – they co-fund insurance coverage for over 1,600 farmers and their families. Elucid developed the tech platform, and Ghana’s Yayra Glover cooperative ensures everything works on the ground.
Everyone brings their strengths: tech, structure, production, and funding. This is not a top-down model – it’s a network of trust.
And the best part? It works. No middlemen. Just real, direct impact. Farmers get healthier, stronger, more resilient. Chocolate becomes fairer, more transparent, more human.
