A dear customer gave me an “old” quad set, so I could reuse the winder.
Now as kite line dealer you want to investigate the condition of an “old and used” set.
Findings:
After removing the incorrect applied corrections knots in the sleeves the set was 100 % correct in upper and lower line pair.
The steering pair is 4 cm longer as the bottom pair. This even improves you flight skills as you fly with more brake .
Inspecting the full length showed almost new state except a few meter near the end of the kite, a start of little hairs.
And a little dirty.
After a wash, paired them again and if you turn the set around kite end towards the handles you have a set almost in new status…….
So to keep your set in the best condition by :
Rinse or wash it after a beach party.
Equalize the upper a the lower set now and then.
You can change upper and lower set if you want to have the creep equal over your pairs.
And turn the set 180 degrees so the The most stressed piece of the set comes close to the handles.
Will give the set back to the owner for more happy flight hours ……
