On Saturday, June 27, it’s time for Mopfest: the biggest classic moped festival of the year. Expect riding, meeting, MopTrack, cross, and everything around the moped scene.

But it doesn’t stop there…
👉 On Sunday, June 28, the event continues at the same location with Voorst op Wielen, a large classic vehicle show with hundreds of oldtimers.

And on Saturday night?
🎉 Afterparty with live music. The perfect reason to stay at our camp!

MADE IN THE NETHERLANDS! www.tomoshop.nl presents: Moped throwback thursday! The Tomos A35 Quadro is one of those mopeds that instantly brings back late 90s and early 2000s street culture. Big square tank, cast wheels, chunky plastics and that unmistakable A35 sound. Clean original Quadros are getting harder to find now, especially the Dutch built ones.

A lot of people do not realize that many A35 models were assembled in a separate Tomos factory in Epe, the Netherlands. Back then, Tomos Germany even used that fact in their marketing to help sell more A35 models, promoting them as Dutch assembled bikes with a strong Western European image.

The A35 engine itself became legendary for a reason. Compared to the older A3 setups, it was smoother, stronger and more reliable while still keeping that classic Tomos simplicity. The 2 speed automatic transmission made it incredibly easy to ride, but once derestricted or lightly tuned, these bikes became surprisingly fast and playful.

That combination is exactly why the Quadro became such a huge part of Dutch moped culture. Simple to work on, reliable for daily riding and packed with tuning potential.

Straight from Jugoslavia! www.tomoshop.nl presents: Moped throwback thursday! The old Tomos A3 with the egg cylinder is one of the purest examples of early automatic moped culture. Simple frame, pedals, tiny two stroke engine and absolutely no unnecessary technology. Just fuel, spark and that unmistakable Tomos sound.

Built in former Yugoslavia during the early 70s, these early A3 models became famous because of how unbelievably reliable they were. The engine layout was basic in the best possible way. Automatic drive, pedal start and the iconic rounded “egg cylinder” setup that instantly tells you this is an early generation Tomos.

What makes these bikes so cool now is how honest they feel. No sporty plastics, no fake racing styling, no oversized bodywork. Everything is visible and mechanical. You pedal it to start, twist the throttle and the automatic clutch takes over. That whole experience feels completely different from modern scooters.

Tomos was founded in 1954 in what is now Slovenia and quickly became one of the largest moped manufacturers in Eastern and Central Europe. Early Tomos models were heavily influenced by licensed Puch technology, which helped build the brand’s reputation for reliability and simplicity. The A3 became one of the defining Tomos mopeds of the 70s and laid the foundation for decades of automatic two stroke development that followed after it.
