Found in the wild! www.Puchshop.de presents: Moped throwback thursday!

The Puch MV50 is one of those bikes that really shows where sporty 50cc culture started. Before the aggressive Monzas and later race inspired mopeds took over the streets, the MV50 was already bringing proper motorcycle styling into the small displacement world during the 60s and early 70s.

What makes the MV50 special is how serious it looks for such a compact bike. Large tank, slim steel frame, long seat and real geared setup. It does not feel like a bicycle with an engine attached to it. It feels like a scaled down motorcycle, and back then that was a huge deal. Puch understood early that young riders wanted more than basic transportation. They wanted something with character.

A lot of early MV50 models also carried details that disappeared on later Puch generations. Rounded styling, classic spoke wheels and minimal bodywork. Nothing fake, nothing oversized, just clean Austrian engineering built to last. That simplicity is exactly what makes them look so good today.

The new generation! www.Puchshop.de presents: Moped throwback thursday!The Puch Monza was released under many names. In Scandinavia they actually released several Puch models under American state names! This folder comes from Denmark, where the Puch Monza and the Puch brand in general was and still is very popular!

In Denmark and the surrounding Nordic countries, Puch used those US state names like Arizona, Montana and Dakota for their geared models. The Arizona is basically the regional version of the Monza platform, built with the same sporty mindset but adapted for that market.
