Alexandra Breeze Ceramics has a fabulous workshop planned for Saturday October 4th - 💜 Birds of Happiness 💜 with Art Studio Laura Rainbow - and let’s face it, we could all do with a little happiness in our lives right now!
🌈
So, why not message a friend you’ve not seen in a while, treat your Mum/Dad/brother/sister/teenager/girlfiend/boyfriend/Aunty/Uncle/cousin - or be brave and go on your own - this could be your sign to do something new and different, and to go get arty!
🌈
These are the kind of days memories are made of…xx

CANCELLED: AATG PANTO CHORUS AUDITIONS ON SUNDAY CANCELLED

Hello to all our lovely Panto Chorus 2025!

Viv (Producer) and I (Director) have had to make the very difficult decision to cancel the chorus auditions this Sunday at the Warehouse.

We have the happy ‘problem’ of having an unprecedented number of adults, teens and children signed up to be part of this year’s AATG panto!

With over 70 people signed up for the chorus so far - and our magnificent (but MASSIVE!) panto set already built and in place at the Warehouse - we have realised that it will be physically impossible to safely fit everyone into the available space.

This means the first chorus rehearsal on Sunday 7th of September (at the Dance Studio in the Warenar, Wassenaar - info to follow soon) will now be a combined audition and first rehearsal. We will start with a short whole-chorus dance session to help the choreographers decide the groups for the different dance numbers, and then we will move straight onto dance rehearsals!

We know it’s not an ideal turn of events, and we know some of you will be disappointed not to be auditioning this Sunday. As Producer and Director we have to make the difficult decisions - but we have the full support of the choreographers and the extended production team, as none of us wants any accidents or mishaps to happen to anyone while at the Warehouse.

If you have any questions about the Sunday rehearsals at the Warenar please get in touch with Lou, but we will be emailing out detailed information in the coming week.

Thank you for signing up to be part of The Wizard of Oz panto! It’s shaping up to be a fabulous show - and though the next three months are going to be lots of hard work we promise you they are also going to be brilliant fun!

Looking forward to working with you all 💚

Lou & Viv x

Good luck with your new adventure, Liz!

Exciting news!

After twenty eight amazing years at The British School in The Netherlands, I am excited to share that I’m setting out as an independent digital specialist in July.

The plan is to expand my horizons and share my digital skills more widely. I’m excited to begin this next chapter. Many thanks go to all the amazing people I have worked with along the way.

In my time as a teacher I’ve taught around 2,300 children, been on more than thirty school trips, enjoyed so many interactions with families and colleagues, planned the curriculum for IT, ICT and then Computing, lead the swimming team, edited the school magazine, experienced forest school and supported many initiatives.

I have concentrated my efforts on developing my skills developing peoples digital confidence in a wide variety of settings.

In recent times I’ve lead the staff Induction programme, shared my strategic digital knowledge, led workshops and staff meetings, collaborated with the IT team and other EdTech colleagues.

I’ve worn so many hats in my working life so far, from class teacher to senior leader to EdTech advisor, I’m really looking forward to the next chapter.

Mr H, aka The Bookshop Dog, ‘helping’ to pack the books to take to the ASH Winter Fair on Saturday…

15/11/2024

THE LITTLE BOOKSHOP IS BACK…for one day only!
🎄
We will have PILES and PILES and PILES of BRAND NEW BOOKS!!! And a few old favourites too!
🎄
We will have HAZEL in a RUDOLOPH ONESIE!!!
🎄
We will have LOU who will be mainly CHATTING BOOKS (some things never change!) and eating cookies…
🎄
Sadly, we won’t have MR H THE BOOKSHOP DOG as he still hasn’t learned not to make a run for it (and ASH is a no-dog zone, rude!!) - but he will have fully vetted and approved all the books before we pack them up and bring them along to ASH!
🎄
Oh my goodness, we are soooo EXCITED to be back in BOOKSHOP mode - we have missed all our FABULOUS BOOK-LOVING FRIENDS!
🎄
Looking forward to seeing you all very very soon…!
