Sadly - I’ve been told that Cege Berglund has passed away. I have known Cege the last 10-15 years. Since I first was planning the book Zappa The Nordic Stories. Cege was very enthusiastic about the project. Through his contacts and his background as a journalist he manage to get the Swedish chapter up to sky high quality level. Without his enthusiasm the book would have never been nowhere near as good as it got to be.

On a personal level I invited Cege to Oslo every time some Zappa related things was on. One time together with his brother W***y who had a several good photos to use in the book. The same for me when something was on in Gothenburg. One time we went to see Adrian Belew’s trio. We first met in the lobby at Gothia hotel. He gave me a large numbered poster of Zappa from the 1974 show in Gothenburg and a few other interesting things for a possible use in the project. He was very proud when he showed me the Spotnick single with the LumpyGravy theme. For those who don’t know this - Spotnick was the The Mothers of Inventions support act for the very first show ever on Nordic soil in 1967. Of course Cege was at the show. I’m wishing all the best for Ceges family. Erland (author, publisher)
