To mark its 25th anniversary, Green Mowers hosted an industry seminar at La Moraleja Golf Club focusing on developments in turf and green space maintenance.

Throughout the event, speakers shared insights into sustainability, emerging technologies and evolving approaches in professional turf management.

During his presentation, Tim Engels, Sales Director at Rhenac Group highlighted how controlling grass growth LED lighting conditions can enhance turf quality and vitality.

Next week marks an important milestone for Rhenac.

CLS® technology has been shortlisted at both the 🏆 German Innovation Awards and the 🏆 Smarter Sports Awards — with all nominations centred around one goal: helping stadiums maintain elite natural and hybrid turf in increasingly complex environments.

For all of us involved in the journey of CLS®, it’s already an honour to see the technology recognised alongside so many innovative projects shaping the future of stadium infrastructure, sustainability and sports technology — and we’re looking forward to next week’s ceremonies in Berlin and London.

A packed programme brings together experts from across sport, academia, and industry, highlighting the growing importance of high-quality playing surfaces:

• Data-driven approaches to turf management and monitoring
• Sustainability challenges, including water use and climate resilience

With contributions from UEFA, FIFA, leading universities, and industry specialists, alongside field visits and collaborative sessions, it promises a valuable few days of insight and discussion.

Great to see the first few kicks at One New Zealand Stadium at Te Kaha in Ōtautahi before the official opening.

The stadium opened in March, with the official opening event set for 16 May — an exciting next milestone.
