Should outdoor life be simple or comfortable? We believe that’s a personal choice, and everyone should find the approach that suits them best. If you enjoy outdoor adventures with plenty of comfort, that’s perfectly fine—just as it’s perfectly fine to prefer a more minimalist experience.
Our friend Jonny definitely belongs to the first category. He takes outdoor comfort to the next level, and here he is enjoying the outdoors with his Nortent Gamme 8 PC.

Two 4 seasons 1 person tents from Nortent being out in the wild together.

Vern 1 is a lighter (2.88 kg) 4-season tent with a streamlined profile. It's incredibly wind-resistant when guyed out properly and is the better choice for long trekking where saving pack weight matters.

Varde 1 is a sturdier (3.25 kg) geodesic fortress. It uses premium, thicker DAC poles, holds heavy snow loads better, and offers more headroom and interior volume to comfortably wait out a storm.

The trek begins on Monday, September 7th via the Lemosho route. The itinerary is as follows:
Day 1: Big Tree Camp (7 km / 680 m elevation gain)
Day 2: Shira One Camp (7 km / 725 m elevation gain)
Day 3: Shira Two Camp (6 km / 340 m elevation gain)
Day 4: Barranco Camp (10 km / 785 m elevation gain)
Day 5: Karanga Camp (6 km / 290 m elevation gain)
Day 6: Barafu Camp (4 km / 600 m elevation gain)
Day 7: Summit attempt (Kilimanjaro Peak) and descent to Mweka Camp (19 km / 1,255 m descent)
Day 8: Return to Moshi (10 km)

After the trek, the participants from Nortent will continue to Zanzibar for a few relaxing days by the beach. Alternatively, it is also possible to arrange a safari, for example in the Serengeti.
Confirmed departures so far:
London Heathrow: Saturday, September 5th at 18:25
Stavanger: Sunday, September 6th at 06:10
Amsterdam Schiphol: Sunday, September 6th at 10:10

Bjørn brought his Gamme 4 to the foot of Storvola in Atna. From this landscape, with its sweeping view toward Rondane, the Norwegian poet Aasmund Olavsson Vinje (1818–1870) is said to have found inspiration for his poem “No ser eg atter slike fjell og dalar” — “Now I See Again Such Mountains and Valleys” — written around 1860. We believe this landscape is timeless — a place where peace of mind and inspiration can be found just as deeply today as they were in the past. We are sure Bjørn truly enjoyed his time there!

Two good friends, two badass tents, and man’s best friend out on tour together — sounds like a perfect combination to us.

Lars and Atle used their packrafts to reach remote locations in the Froland area and spent several days enjoying life out in the wild.

We took the NORTENT Vern 1 on an overnight trip to the beautiful valley of Mån, where we enjoyed good food, fresh air, and the peaceful surroundings.

Mån is easily accessible from NORTENT HQ. After about one hour of driving, you arrive at the main parking area (parking fee NOK 50). From there, it is a scenic 45-minute hike to Mån, passing the impressive Månafossen along the way.

At Mån, you can fish for trout in the river, explore the surrounding trails, or simply enjoy the silence and the dramatic landscape.

Mån is an old mountain farm located in the Fidjadalen valley, just beyond Månafossen. It was likely first settled during the early Middle Ages and became the first farm established in the valley. For centuries, people lived here in relative isolation, farming and raising livestock in the rugged mountain terrain. The farm remained inhabited until 1915, when the last residents left as modern roads and easier living elsewhere made life at Mån increasingly difficult.

You don’t always have to go far to find a great experience. Our friend Jonny took his Varde 1 to a scenic spot overlooking Oslo and enjoyed a cosy night there.
