🇬🇧 Just back home from a great weekend in Molde, where I was holding a course in shore angling. The attendance and positivity from the rising community of the local shore anglers have been overwhelming! I would really like to thank each and every one of you for taking the trip to listen to a big guy with beard and long hair talking about something that still is a ‘new’ thing here in Norway.

A big shout out to the guys at Jaktia Molde - sportsbutikken.no and Jøran Bygstad aka. Kystfiskejegeren for holding the course at their premises, I have rarely seen such commitment, determination and knowledge pushed together in one establishment! Awesome guys!

🇳🇴 Tilbake til hverdagen etter ei strøken helg i Molde, hvor jeg holdt kurs i kystmeite. Oppmøtet og den positive stemningen fra de lokale kystmeiterne i et gryende kystmeitemiljø var rett og slett overveldende! Derfor er det på sin plass at jeg takker alle de som tok turen for å høre på en svær fyr med hår og skjegg prate om noe som fremdeles er ganske "nytt" sett med norske øyne.

En stor takk rettes til gutta på Jaktia Molde - sportsbutikken.no og Jøran Bygstad, bedre kjent som Kystfiskejegeren for å arrangere kurset. Ståpåviljen, engasjementet og kunnskapen disse fine folka besitter er rett og slett makalaust. Superlativene kommer litt til kort her. Dere er rå!

On May 31, 2025, a friendly surfcasting competition took place on Bore Beach near Stavanger, Norway. The event was organized by the angling platforms Surfcasting Norway, represented by Paweł Kocjan, and Kystmeite i Norge, represented by Lasse Bøe, with generous support from Sandnes Bakeri, Cox & Rawle, and Gobble.

A total of 13 anglers from Norway, Ireland, and Poland participated in the competition. The targeted species included sea trout (Salmo trutta), turbot, and flounder.

After several exciting hours of fishing, the results were as follows:

1st place: Wiesław Kozłowski

2nd place: Wojciech Grabski

3rd place: Rafał Sieklicki

The award for the biggest fish went to Adam Melcer, who landed a 48 cm sea trout.

The event was held in an exceptionally friendly atmosphere, accompanied by perfect weather conditions for fishing. Following the competition, participants gathered for an award ceremony and a shared barbecue, rounding off a memorable day by the sea.

A heartfelt thank you to all the participants and fellow surfcasters – this event wouldn’t have been possible without you!
Special thanks go to Lasse Bøe, Wojtek Grabski, Rafał Pisula, and Jarosław Reiski for their invaluable help and support.
