The Reggae Music Shop is one of Pokhara’s oldest music sellers, established in 1995 by Dipak’s father, a reggae music enthusiast and collector. Dipak inherited the shop from his father in 2008 on his return from working in Malaysia. Dipak has since broadened the collection to include not only reggae music, but Nepali Classical and fusion favourites as well as large selection of Indian, Tibetan and

Western music. He has also added a new collection of travel documentaries as well as Hollywood and Bollywood DVDs. In 2011, Dipak met Mark Rafter, an Art Director from London, who was on a volunteer holiday in Nepal. The two have since been the best of friends and Mark has helped re-decorate the shop, re-design the logo in to the colourful form that customers enjoy today.
