The board is finished with food safe rice bran oil and the cutter handle is coated with friction wax.
The board measures 37cm diameter and 2.5cm thickness

I also to repair job like this where a small puppy had chewed up the stretchers of these chairs, I removed the damaged ones and turned up some new ones. There were five chairs with two or three stretchers on each that needed to be replaced

If you're a knitter or crocheter then you know how frustrating it is when your yarn rolls away and gets tangled. But with a yarn and wool bowl, you can kiss those days goodbye!

These yarn and wool bowls are made using recycled timbers sourced from old house framing and floor boards as well as broken furniture. The woods used for this bowl are New Zealand native Heart Rimu and Pine. The individual pieces of timber are laminated together and then turned on the wood lathe, finished with a friction wax and finally the kuru is carved into the bowl.

A yarn and wool bowl is a must-have for any knitter. It's designed to keep your yarn and wool in place, so you never have to worry about it rolling away or getting tangled. Plus, the cats will not like it, as a yarn bowl is essential for keeping them from playing with your yarn and making a mess.

This mortar and pestle is made from a storm fallen Maple tree. Works just like a stone one, but weighs a lot less, gentle on delicate herbs (doesn’t bruise them as harshly as stone), and won’t scratch softer surfaces.
The mortar is approximately 14cm wide by 12cm high, with an internal diameter of 12cm wide and 8cm deep. The pestle is 23cm long. Both the mortar and the pestle are finished with rice bran oil, this protects the wood as well as keeps it clean.
To clean the mortar and pestle, hand wash and immediately dry; occasional oiling keeps the wood from drying out and cracking.
