It's true, the owners here are selling. This is a fantastic location, they don't mention the air conditioning units we installed upstairs to make it more comfortable.
I am 100% able and willing to help the new owners get their heads around the flowers if they chose to continue with these.
Gypsophila is a main one that is well worth keeping, Christmas lilies are a fantastic income for December and the variety of other flowers ensure an income right through to the cooler months. Plenty of land to raise calves, graze sheep.
Our neighbour's are amazing too, so friendly.
The location is fantastic for Tinwald and town, an easy walk to the Tinwald Domain, Plains railway, rugby grounds, Americar and even into Tinwald.

A wedding flower through and through. Stunning mixed in a bouquet or posy of flowers. Gorgeous dried or fresh.

Must be about time to get these to the market! Hot days mean the flowers burst out of the plants, if we miss a day picking this time of year, there is a lot of wastage.
Our early this morning trying to beat the heat, was a full family affair with the oldest 2 ferrying flowers from the glasshouse to the sorting room. Me picking, hubby sorting, both if us bunching. Our youngest was chief in charge water quality tester.
Then the amazing Helen came and helped us get the lilies done, JUST in time for the trees to open. Phew!

Gypsophila is in full swing at the moment, and our Christmas lilies are ramping up fast.
Delphiniums are done, only a few slow stems left. Astilbe is past peak and slowing down, just in time for the Christmas rush of gyps and lilies.
It's all go, go, go here, weeds included 🤣

Our gypsophila is finally starting to flower! Such a beautiful flower. It's a slow starting season this year, but the plants are looking really healthy and it looks like it's going to be a bumper crop in the next few weeks!

One of my favourite wee flowers, Astilbe is doing really well this year, very long stems for such a dainty flower in so many shades from white to dark pink.

Christmas lilies are also growing strong, heads are starting to grow bigger and bigger, already harvested a couple.
Next month is doing to be busy!

Delphiniums are winding down but this wee cutie is ramping up!

Out for a wee walk this morning to see some stunning white iris up the drive.

The chiller is also up and running with plenty of delphiniums to help fill it.
Astilbe is starting up with some stunning pinks coming through.

A busy hot day in the glasshouse yesterday preparing some beds for new flowers to go in in the next few weeks.

The long weekend is here!
This morning I got outside with our youngest helper and turned over part of one of the flower beds to prepare it for some new seedlings. 🌱
As you can see, they are still a while away from transplanting, but with the busy Christmas lily season almost upon us, better to be prepared!

Flower season has started. Stunning delphiniums are coming through with huge plants and stunning blue/purple flowers.

Some Delphiniums heading out today to 2 local florists, the amazing Kelly at Kakariki and Samantha at Samantha Rose.
