It is often the smallest details that make the biggest difference.

Door and joinery pulls are something we touch and use every day, yet they are so often treated as an afterthought.
Sally McDonald takes a different approach, creating resin pulls where texture, shape, colour and material become part of the design.

Thoughtful, functional pieces that prove even the smallest detail can be worth looking closer at.

Inspired by origami, each shade is made to order by Wellington-based designer and photographer Juliet Black, whose work centres on 'slow design': creating individually rather than mass-producing.

You will mostly find us online, but we do have a small selection of pieces on display at the Box Studio reception in Newmarket.

Think less shop, more lounge - a relaxed space where you can discover a few of the makers, designers and pieces we love while visiting Box. It's a small snapshot of what you will find online, with pieces changing and evolving over time.
