Every one deserves to be safe when moving from A to B. Maybe this person would have been okay if the New North rd upgrade had already been delivered. We deserve safe streets - especially in front of our schools and childcare facilities.

Have your say on an integrated transport plan for Tāmaki Makaurau Auckland! We need fast delivery of;
- convenient, reliable public transport
- safe cycleways and walkways; and
- sustainable freight delivered by right-sized vehicles for the job!
- the Upper Symonds street and New North road upgrade project!
All together these will make a more resilient, inclusive transport system which meets the needs of everyone; including those who use mobility devices, who do not drive, and who cannot afford a car.

Projects like the Upper Symmonds street and New North road corridor upgrade would provide communities with transport choice; empowering people to choose safe cycling, or reliable public transport. As some people would switch out of their cars to these low-emission alternatives, the road would be freed up for those who want to drive. Overall we would have a healthier, happier and more liveable region.

One council plan says transport emissions must come down by 50 percent. Other council plans make those cuts impossible.
