What is the difference between emergency lighting and normal lighting? Here’s what makes emergency lighting different…

💡 Has its own power source (battery pack, generator or separate power circuit)
💡 Is only used for safety – not day to day operations
💡 Comes on automatically when mains power fails or runs continuously
💡 Is strategically placed at exists, stairwells, carparks and hallways

If you’ve invested in a good quality pump, one of the simple things you can do to protect it is install an inline pump filter. These inexpensive filters (less than a couple of cappuccinos) stop gunk building up and damaging your pump. Learn more about pump filters here 👉 https://tinyurl.com/yaertvnn

If your pump is trying to transfer water through a clogged up, dirty old filter which is long past its best-before date, it’s going to be working overtime to try to get the job done! Working overtime means more wear and tear and more pressure on your pump.

Here are five things you can do to protect your pump

1. Get on a regular pump maintenance plan
2. Change your water filters when they are due
3. Clean your pump filter (an easy DIY job)
4. Use a surge protector
5. Make sure your suction line is the right size

If you rely on tank water you know how much the weather impacts both supply and what happens to the water in your tank. Filters provide your first line of defence against unwanted contaminants (we always recommend you include UV sterilisation in your set up too). However, if your gutters and roof aren’t clean, or the weather has been particularly wild and your tank has more than the standard amount of ‘floaties’ you need to keep on top of filter maintenance to make sure they aren’t working overtime and wearing out.
