Remember my last WIP post? 👀

Well... this blanket worked up much faster than I expected, and it's already finished! 🧶✨

There's something so satisfying about the simple texture of a BPDC stitch. It's clean, cosy, and has a slightly more masculine look, which made it the perfect excuse to gift it to (one of) my favourite human. 💙

My husband has been complaining about being cold at night lately (apparently cuddling with me isn't enough... rude. 😂🤭), so I figured he deserved an extra layer of handmade love to keep him warm.

And can we take a moment to appreciate the crab stitch edging? It gives the blanket such a neat, polished finish—I think it might be one of my favourite ways to finish a blanket now!

Now I want to know... what's your go-to stitch for blankets? Do you have a favourite that you always come back to? 🧶💕

After approximately 937 requests (give or take 😅), I finally crocheted my son a pterodactyl.

Once I finally gave in and agreed, I think I set a personal crochet record—it was finished within 6 hours... mostly because I had a very dedicated supervisor making sure I stayed on schedule. 🫡

If this is his level of persistence at 5 years old, the business world should probably start preparing now.
- Negotiation skills? Elite.
- Follow-up strategy? Relentless.
- Closing the deal? Apparently very effective. 😂

Fun facts:

🐊 Pterodactyls weren't actually dinosaurs—they were flying reptiles called pterosaurs.
🪽 Their wings were made of skin and muscle stretched over an incredibly long fourth finger (basically nature's version of a giant kite!).
🌍 And despite what movies sometimes suggest, they lived alongside dinosaurs but belonged to a completely different group.

✨ Here's to determination, patience... and finally crossing one more crochet request off the list. 💙
