Hello friends, welcome to our August 2026 Artisan Design Team Group 3 InstaHop. I'm excited to share with you my Artisan assignment for August. Our assignment was to create projects with A Stitched Season Suite Collection and stay within the colors of the suite - which are very traditional reds and greens with the addition of Secret Sea (phew!) and Pecan Pie.
My first project was to create a banner with stockings. They are no ordinary stockings though! Made with vellum and white stitch marks from our White Gel pen, you can fill them up with mini candies, jewellery, etc...what else can you think of filling it with? Another idea is to make 24 or 25 of these for a cool Advent Calendar! I also want to bring attention to the pegs - I love decorating pegs with our Designer Series Paper. It's also a good way to use up tiny paper scraps. Oh, and I couldn't resist adding some hot foils...SNEAK PEEK alert - I used the Reverse Hot Foil Die with the Luxe Alphabet & Numbers Hot Foil Dies. That gold accent gives the letters a very classy feel.
My second project is a card largely inspired by the quilt look of the Designer Series Paper. I added extra details in three ways: I drew on white stitching with our White Gel pen, I used the little arrows from the Secret Sea diecut to add a fun design in the centre of the card, and finally i gold embossed the sentiment on vellum.
Finally, I made a small card or a big gift tag - those holly berries come in a trio, which is so handy, and the buttons and ribbon are a fabulous addition to this Suite.
