Inspired by the neighbourhood florists of Paris, where buckets of flowers lined the streets and locals filled their homes with fresh blooms, La Femme Fleur brings the freshest, New Zealand grown flowers to Westmere, Herne Bay, Ponsonby and St Mary’s Bay.


“I fell in love with flowers while living in Montmartre. I was charmed by bunches of tulips wrapped in brown paper, and the pyramids of peonie

s at street markets,” says owner Millicent Austin. Parisians treat flowers as a necessity, a part of everyday life, and La Femme Fleur wants Aucklanders to do the same. The flower truck opened in Coxs Bay in 2014 and has become a part of the community. Now La Femme Fleur has opened its first shop in the old post office building in Ponsonby.

We love them! The always changing colours and varieties.

If you’ve ever wondered why your tulips look completely different the next morning, it’s because they’re still growing. A hormone called auxin keeps pushing the stem longer and bending it toward the light. Trim them back as they grow, or just let them do their thing, the wild lean is half the charm.

We have the most beautiful orange and red double tulips at the truck tomorrow. Come find us. 🌷
