Inspired by the neighbourhood florists of Paris, where buckets of flowers lined the streets and locals filled their homes with fresh blooms, La Femme Fleur brings the freshest, New Zealand grown flowers to Westmere, Herne Bay, Ponsonby and St Mary’s Bay.


“I fell in love with flowers while living in Montmartre. I was charmed by bunches of tulips wrapped in brown paper, and the pyramids of peonies at street markets,” says owner Millicent Austin. Parisians treat flowers as a necessity, a part of everyday life, and La Femme Fleur wants Aucklanders to do the same. The flower truck opened in Coxs Bay in 2014 and has become a part of the community. Now La Femme Fleur has opened its first shop in the old post office building in Ponsonby.
