MEET THE TEAM | ALEX HAMMOND
Marketing Manager & Rider Representative
Driven, ambitious and deeply passionate about the equestrian industry, Alex Hammond has built a diverse career combining horses, equine nutrition, marketing and business development across New Zealand and internationally.
Raised between Singapore and Hong Kong before moving to New Zealand, Alex grew up immersed in polo, show jumping and dressage. Her involvement in international equestrian sport began early, becoming the youngest volunteer at the Singapore 2010 Youth Olympic Games - an experience that helped spark her ambition to build a career within the industry she loved.
Since then, Alex has deliberately built an extensive skillset across both the practical and commercial sides of the equestrian world. Her hands-on experience spans grooming for top level riders, racing stables, breeding studs, thoroughbred preparation and sales, broodmare management, equine nutrition and neonatal care.
Alongside her horsemanship, Alex has always had a strong entrepreneurial drive. She has developed expertise across marketing strategy, digital marketing, e-commerce, website development, sales, customer experience and business growth - building a career that allows her to combine her understanding of horses with her passion for growing brands and businesses.
Today, she brings those worlds together as Marketing Manager & Rider Representative for Equine America New Zealand, working across brand growth, marketing, rider relationships, customer education and equine nutrition.
For Alex, believing in the products she represents is non-negotiable. What drew her to Equine America was the science behind the formulations, meticulous approach to manufacturing and quality, commitment to Clean Sport, and continual investment in developing products designed to make a genuine difference to horses.
Just as importantly, Alex strongly connects with the brand as its a family-owned and operated business built from a genuine passion. That combination of science, quality and innovation that makes Alex so proud to represent Equine America.
