Card Merchant turns 10 this month!

We are incredibly proud to have reached this milestone - from our first store in Glenfield to now having 14 different franchise stores across the country and growing!

We're serving up something special for the community this month, so stay tuned for daily posts honouring our past while also showing you a sneak peek of what we have in store for the future!

This week at Card Merchant Westcity!

Starting off our 10th Anniversary month strong with tons of events this week, including our Grand Archive Radiant Origins Store Championship today on King's Birthday at 11am!

On Thursday, we have a Flesh and Blood Calling Auckland Last Chance Sealed Practice event! We want to reduce barrier to entry, so there will be no additional booster prizing but you do get a GEM pack with entry!

On Friday, we have our One Piece OP-16 Pre-Release event, get your hands on the latest cards from the Summit War Arc! Plus another Riftbound 2v2 Magma Chamber event, we had a ton of fun last week with this format and want to trial a few more events!

We've got a huge Saturday lined up, starting with our first Riftbound Unleashed Summoner Skirmish and Pokemon League Challenge at 10am. We also have our Disney Lorcana Wilds Unknown Set Championship at 11am and also our second One Piece OP-16 Pre-Release at 11:30am!

We had our first ever Riftbound 2v2 Magma Chamber event last night!

We had 2 pods playing it out - the games had lots of laughs and our players enjoyed themselves with the format, already coming up with more fun decks for next week!

The winning team was a Jax and Annie combo played by Vash and Adam! We also had 2x Ornn and Renata teams plus a Yasuo and Diana team.

We're running another one next Friday, so we hope to see you there!!

23 players last night battled it out at our Riftbound Nexus Night at Card Merchant Westcity!

14 different legends represented, with Irelia remaining a popular pick with 4 players. Congrats to our 3 undefeated - Mason F. on Ornn, Golff S. on Rengar and Andrew C. on Diana! Interestingly, they all faced Irelia players in the final round - but managed to come out on top!

A friendly reminder that we have our very first 2v2 Magma Chamber event tomorrow evening at 7pm! Come along and try out a new format - either bring a friend or come solo and we'll pair you up. We hope to see lots of you there!

This week at Card Merchant Westcity!

A couple of exciting FAB events alongside our weekly schedule..

On Friday, our Flesh and Blood Armory will be replaced by our Omens of the Third Age Pre-Release Sealed deck event! Come along for an electrifying event and get your hands and the latest cards! We're also testing out a new 2v2 format for Riftbound called Magma Chamber! Come along and try it out!

On Saturday, we're continuing on from last night's excitement with our FAB Omens of the Third Age Pre-Release Draft event at 11am! We can fire as many games on demand as players want!

Come along to our events for some practice for the upcoming Calling. We hope to see you all this week!

This week at Card Merchant Westcity!

We've got our regular weekly events, plus a couple of special events this weekend!

On Friday, we have a Flesh and Blood High Seas Draft replacing our weekly Armory! Our Welcome Back to Draft Event will feature a random draw for 1x Sink Below promo, plus extra GEM and other prizing!

On Sunday we're running our Star Wars Unlimited Store Showdown! Come and join for some great promos featuring Maul and Rio Durant and friendly Star Wars competition!

25 players battled it out at our Nexus Night last night at Card Merchant Westcity for Week 1 of Unleashed!

The meta was widespread, with 16 legends between all 3 sets released thus far, with every legend represented at a 1-of or 2-of. Congrats to Mason on Sivir, Manly on Master Yi (OGN, Mathew on LeBlanc, and Golff on Rengar - all going undefeated!

Thank you to everyone for coming as we welcome the new set and a revamp on our prizing system! A special thank you to all our players who have come to our last 4 events and qualified to purchase an Unleashed Vault - we've fully sold out and value everyone's commitment in playing at our store!
