Back in 1988, kiwi owner David Graves, developed a Garden Bag that could stand open by itself. Today that small business has grown into an online garden store featuring a huge range of products. We are constantly adding more items to the site. Hopefully it all helps you make your world greener! They didn't come all the way from Japan to rust on the shelf. Hard-working secateurs, snips and shears deserve a spa day too. Clean with the Rust Eraser. Sharpen with the stone (Twin Diamond File if they've really let themselves go). Protect with Camellia Oil. Dads don't like rust on shelves either. Hint hint.

A potager is the French kitchen garden: veges, herbs and flowers planned together, grown to feed you and look good doing it. Which makes planning one suspiciously like planning a dinner party. A guest list, a seating chart, staggered arrivals, half the seats saved for flowers, and someone who has to sit alone. Sorry fennel. The full plan is on the blog, link in stories. Macrophylla. Paniculata. Arborescens. Quercifolia. Relax, you're here to prune hydrangeas, not learn Latin. Fat buds sitting on the bare stems? It flowers on old wood, trim lightly. Last summer's flowerheads shaped like cones, or floppy white pompoms? They flower on new wood, cut hard. Is there anything more magical? Welcome to Biarritz, the seaside town on France's Basque coast where the hydrangeas have quietly taken over. Wander down to Le Port des Pêcheurs and the coastal path is thick with them, blooming right through the northern summer. Tonight's email is how you get yours looking like this. Or close enough 😉
