We’re reaching out to share an important update about our Retail Network
Our stores have always been more than just places to buy bikes. They’ve been gathering points for riders, spaces for shared stories and hubs for the passion that fuels us all. That’s why it’s with mixed emotions that we share the news that MEC in Ellerslie will be closing its doors at 5 PM on Friday, March 21, 2025.
We want to take a moment to thank you—our riders, our community—for your support over the years. Whether you’ve stopped by for expert advice, a service or simply a chat about your latest ride, you’ve helped make MEC a special place. Your trust and enthusiasm have meant everything to us.
A heartfelt thank you also goes out to Emma, Roger, Hein, Dom, Logan and Cormac—the dedicated team who have been at the core of MEC Ellerslie. We’re working closely with them as they take their next steps and we appreciate everything they’ve done to support riders.
While this chapter is coming to a close, our commitment to you remains the same. You’ll continue to receive the Specialized service and support you know and trust through our Mt Eden location and our wider network of Auckland retailers:
