Card Merchant turns 10 this month!

We are incredibly proud to have reached this milestone - from our first store in Glenfield to now having 14 different franchise stores across the country and growing!

We're serving up something special for the community this month, so stay tuned for daily posts honouring our past while also showing you a sneak peek of what we have in store for the future!

Plus, expect special events this month and a weekly giveaway every Tuesday! More details to come.

If you didnt know, we run One Piece TCG 3 times a week!

Come play with all the out of rotation cards on Thursday, Play the best decks you can on Friday or chill out with the fun decks on Sunday!

We had 15 players for our Disney Lorcana Winterspell Set Championship at Card Merchant Ponsonby last Saturday!

Congratulations to Darren who won the Tinker Bell playmat with a spicy Amethyst/Sapphire or "Blurple" list, running 0 uninkables! A big congrats to our remaining Top 4, Ethan, Ryan and Terrence as well!

The meta on the day was varied, with Amethyst decks dominating the room at 11 players players! Amber/Amethyst leads with its growing in popularity, with card draw/board wipes as it's key mechanics.

Thank you to everyone for making it, with a few players even travelling from out of Auckland! We hope you all had a good time, and see you at our next event!

On Thursday we have our Disney Lorcana Winterspell Sealed Release event at 6:45pm! Come for flurries of fun with this brand new set and receive a promo just for participating!

On Friday we have our MTG Lorwyn Eclipsed Store Championship! Awesome promos are up for grabs, so come along for some competitive Standard games!

We had an insane night yesterday!

54 players for our Riftbound Spiritforged Pre-rift event!!!
We hit absolute capacity with someone in every seat!

We might not be the biggest event in NZ but I think we were probably the luckiest with 9 Overnumbers and 1 Signature pulled!

Special shoutout to our Yu-Gi-Oh players who got sent downstairs!
