Browns Bay Sunday Market

Browns Bay Sunday Market Want a stall? Visit our website. www.brownsbaymarket.co.nz 2nd hand clothes, collectables, antiques and handcrafts. Sites range from $20.00 to $50.00.

One of the last true second hand markets in Auckland, the Browns Bay Market operates every Sunday, with all profits going to support Coastguard North Shore and other local community projects. A great place to pick up used tools, pre loved books, plants or fresh produce. We endeavour to have a wide range of products, so if you make your own, just check with us before coming down. There are some pro

ducts that we have too many of, which may limit how well you do. Open from 6.00am until Noon, every Sunday, except Easter Sunday and two weeks after Christmas.

Firstly, I hope everyone had a enjoyable Christmas and as we come to the end of the year, we would like to thank everyone who has supported the market during 2024, be it as a stallholder or visitor and to those retailers who work with us on Sundays to bring the market to you.

Without one, we do not have the other and without you, we would not have a community market.

To many, the market is not just a place to visit and shop, but a place to come down every week to meet and socialise.

We are closed for the next two Sunday's returning again on the 12th January. We have changed the booking form to inc;lude both a preferred and back up date. If your preferred date is not available, you will be automatically wait listed and we will arrange a site for your back up date if you included one.

Have a fun, safe New Year and if you going boating, wear your life jacket.

Hi and thanks to those who have booked their sites already for the lead up to Christmas. We are not allowing block bookings for December, so we can give everyone a chance to sell at the market.

As of today we only have 2 sites available for the 15th December and 19 for the 22nd December, so they are going fast.

Last Sunday ended up being a fine day and the visitors came down and bought plenty of items, so don't miss out on having a stall.

Have a great week,
Chris

Thank you to everyone who have booked sites already. We are now fully booked for both the 17th and 24th November.

We are wanting to give everyone a chance to be at the market, but we have some people trying to book multiple Sundays, which is not in the spirit of the market, so please do not try.

We only have four Sunday's available before Christmas, so book now to avoid missing out.

See you on Sunday, where the weather looks great.
Chris

Hi again to the supporters of the best second market on the North Shore.

An update on availability. As of midday today, Monday, we are now fully booked for this Sunday, 17th November, so thanks to everyone who have booked already. This takes into account stallholders who know they are away for this weekend.

Some stallholders may have a change of plan due to sickness or have urgent matters to attend to, but we don't have that crystal ball working 100% yet.

We still have some sites available for the following Sunday and right up to the 22 December, but they are also filling up fast.

The longer you wait, the less chance you will have to get a site to showcase your craft, new idea or have a Spring clear out ready for Christmas.

The best thing to do, is book a site now.
Thank you for you support.
Chris

Thank you who have already booked sites at your market. We are fully booked for this Sunday, 10th November, have ten available for the 17th and 20 for the 24th and out to Christmas.

So whether you are decluttering your house, or selling your crafts, be in quick to arrange your site and remember, it is easier to cancel a site than hope for one the day before because you may miss out.

The weather is looking great on Sunday, so if you don't want a stall, still visit the market. There are some interesting stalls this week.

Secure Your Spot: Why Early Booking is Key for Stallholders at Our Market.
Hello everyone!
As we head towards Summer, thank you to all who have supported our market over the colder months. We have welcomed an average of 90 stalls every Sunday, with nearly half of them being newcomers, which means fresh and diverse offerings each week!

Why Book Early?
If you’re considering joining us before Christmas, now is the time to apply for a stall. Our bookings are filling up fast—especially over the next four weeks, as we’re already seeing reservations extending right up to December 22nd. The main reason stallholders hesitate to book is often due to uncertain weather forecasts. However, as we’ve seen recently, stable weather has led to early sell-outs!

Booking in advance is not just a smart move; it’s essential. Many stallholders have learned the hard way that waiting can mean missing out entirely. In fact, we anticipate reaching full capacity two weeks in advance very soon!

Flexibility and Peace of Mind
By booking early, you have the flexibility to cancel if needed, which is far easier than risking a last-minute scramble for a spot. The last thing you want is to find the market fully booked when you’re ready to showcase your crafts or clear out your items.

Ready to Join Us?
If you’re interested in selling handmade crafts (no imports, please!) or decluttering, don’t wait! Here’s the link to secure your single carpark site:
https://www.brownsbaymarket.co.nz/want-a-stall

Of course, you can always try your luck by showing up on the day, but keep in mind that it’s $30.00 for a single site, payable upon entry.

Thank you for reading, and I can’t wait to see you at the market—whether as a stallholder or a visitor—very soon!

Regards,
Chris

I trust everyone had a good Christmas and are looking forward to 2024. Thank you to the over 800 stallholders who book a site online with us. We are tweaking our process every time to close the loop holes, which turned up when we were really busy.

The market is now closed for our annual break and we reopen on the 14th January.

Have a fun and safe New Year and take care if you especially if you are boating and please wear a life jacket.

Hi everyone and fyi, we currently have bookings out as far as February and everyday the number of available sites drops.

So here is a handy hint if you want a stall at the market.

Book a site at least two weeks ahead of time and cancel if the weather doesn't work for you. We accept cancellations up to 6.00am on Sunday. We do have waiting lists and also send out reminders during the week before you are due to join us.

Not many markets go the extra distance especially for only $20.00.

The other choice is wait until Saturday, but you may find we are full, which has been the case for the past month,

We have been turning away stallholders every week since the start of November, so save yourself the stress of being turned away, click on the following link to book a site.
