The book I would like to highlight this week is "Quest for the Kakapo" by David Butler. Published in 1989 it tells the story of the dedicated Wildlife Service (now Department of Conservation) staff and other naturalists in the long running battle to save one of New Zealand's most remarkable birds, the Kakapo. ANZAC day, 25 April, time to remember our veterans and those that did not return from war.
For those that had relatives on the Western Front we have two copies of "From the Uttermost Ends of the Earth - The New Zealand Division on the Western Front 1916-1918" by John Gray, an excellent history but also includes a guide to the battlefields of value to those planning to visit the places where their fore-fathers fought.

Devonport Vintage Bookshop will sadly be closing down and we have a closing down sale on now.

All books half price except rare and collectable books, and we may be offering discounts on these too.
