Pacific Errands is incredibly proud to be supporting Tonga Post Ltd as they take another exciting step forward in Tonga’s digital future.

We are pleased to have supplied the servers and ICT equipment required to help bring Tonga Post’s e-commerce project together and support the technology infrastructure behind this important initiative.

A few months ago, Alex Wilson and Lisa Smith visited St Philomena Children’s Home in Suva and spent the day with the children there.

During our visit, the children asked if one day they could visit Alex’s resort.

We decided to take that wish and let it grow… ✨

This October, Alex and I, together with an incredible team of people, are bringing that wish to life with a very special weekend for the children, hosted at The Pearl South Pacific Resort, Fiji.

The purpose of the weekend is simple — to give these children the opportunity to step outside their normal environment, experience adventure, spend time together, and create memories that will last a lifetime.

We have an exciting weekend of adventure planned, thanks to Brando Yelavich, NZ explorer, who is flying over from New Zealand to spend time with the children and share lessons around resilience, mindset and exploration. Brando has put a huge amount of time and effort into planning every activity for the children over this weekend and we are very grateful for his efforts. With Brando’s planning this is going to be an unforgettable experience.

Our hope is that this weekend inspires the children, helps them see that anything is possible, and allows them to look at the world through fresh eyes.

A huge thank you to Alex Wilson for welcoming and accommodating the children and St Philomena staff for the weekend, Hamish Milne at Burnard International for his incredibly generous support, Akshat Gupta for providing the technology support we need, Nic Leggett at Welcome Fiji, Todd Scott from NBR - The National Business Review and to all the wonderful local businesses who have come on board to help make this weekend possible.

We are incredibly grateful to everyone involved in bringing this special weekend to life.

We can’t wait to see the children experience it — and hopefully create memories they will carry with them for many years to come. ❤️

What if one connection could change the future of a young person?

We believe it can.

We’re proud to introduce The 21 Hands Project — an initiative created around the 21 children at St Philomena Children’s Home.

Our goal is to start building a network of businesses, employers, mentors and individuals who can help these young people find their pathway into employment once they finish school.

Because getting an education is only the beginning.

What happens next matters.

A first job.
An apprenticeship.
A scholarship.
Work experience.
A mentor.

Someone who says, “I know someone who can help.”

Sometimes, that’s all it takes for an opportunity to appear.

We want to use the relationships and connections we’ve built across the Pacific to create those opportunities for these 21 young people.

We’re asking our community:

Who do you know?

Do you own a business that could offer a young person an opportunity?

Do you know an employer looking for enthusiastic young people?

Could you offer mentoring, work experience, training or a scholarship?

Or could you simply share this post and connect us with someone who might be able to help?

This isn’t about charity.

It’s about creating pathways to independence.

21 young people.
21 futures.
21 opportunities waiting to be created.

Together, we can help give each one the connections, confidence and opportunity to build a future of their own.

What an exciting month for our friends and the incredible team at Mounu Island Resort as they receive their essential orders and put the final pieces in place for their opening! 🌴🐋

Operating a business from such a remote location comes with unique challenges, especially when sourcing and coordinating the essential items needed to get a new resort ready to welcome guests.

After months of planning, organising and navigating the logistics, it’s now go time for the team at Mounu Island! 🙌

It was a pleasure for Pacific Errands to support the team and help bring everything together. We wish them an incredible opening and an amazing whale-watching season ahead!

Every girl deserves the opportunity to learn—every day of the month.

Education is a basic right, yet for some girls in Tonga, something as natural as having their period can mean missing school because they simply can’t afford sanitary products.

No girl should have to choose between managing her period and getting an education. Every girl deserves the opportunity to attend school with confidence and dignity, regardless of the time of the month.

When Tonga’s Auditor General, Lotomoua Faleafa Tu'ungafasi shared that many girls are missing school for this very reason, we knew we had to help.

Pacific Errands has donated enough sanitary products to supply QUEEN Salote College for the next few months. This is just the beginning—we’re committed to working with the school’s wonderful Principal, Rev Sela and other supporters to help make this a sustainable initiative.

As Rev Sela said so beautifully today, “Every girl should be able to come to school with dignity.”
