Great day out of Tairua yesterday, Capt Jigger Jim, keeping us on the fish throughout the day and everyone landing some good fish. Great conditions, water very blue in parts and temps around 21 c.

Another opportunity for me to fish the Maven Firth prototype, this will be the perfect rod for chasing big fish and is easily matched to a variety of reels. I fished it as a heavy set yesterday with the Daiwa Sea Line however, the rod will also suit PE 6 sized reels to give you a lightweight option with awesome lift.
