We are sorry 😒

After a lot of thought, our team of organisers β€” Kara, Andrea, and myself (Brodie) β€” have made the difficult decision not to go ahead with the Father's Day Market in September. Due to significant health issues affecting us, we need to focus on our recovery, which means reducing both our physical and mental stress.

When we're able to return will depend on how each of our recoveries progresses. We are truly sorry for any inconvenience or disappointment this may cause, but we need to put our health first.

We'd also like to keep the details of our health issues private, and we appreciate your understanding and respect. Please know that we are okay, and with time, we will back better than ever ❀️

Thank you all for your support and understanding.

πŸ“šβ€οΈ Calling all book lovers and romance readers!

We're excited to welcome local author Megan Duff (M J Duff) to the Food Bank Booksale and Clutha Community Market.

A self-published independent author who has recently relocated to Balclutha from the Far North, Megan writes heartwarming romance stories filled with love, friendship, and happily-ever-afters.

Be sure to check out her Emerald Isle Trilogy, a charming three-book small-town romance series set in the picturesque village of Doolin, Ireland. If you enjoy stories about found family, community, and romance, these books could be your next favourite read.

Megan will be joining us in the auditorium alongside the Food Bank Booksale, where you'll be able to meet the author, learn more about her books, and pick up a signed copy.

πŸͺ¨βœ¨ Struan and Cathy are back with their incredible handcrafted Pounamu carvings!

What started as a hobby after a winter holiday to the West Coast soon became a true passion for Struan. After discovering a love for working with stone, he set up a workshop at his home in Te Houka and began creating beautiful Toki, Roimata, and other traditional carvings.

Today, Struan's work can be found throughout South Otago, and he continues to enjoy creating unique pieces for customers. He also welcomes custom commissions, whether you'd like a particular style, colouring, or even a carving made from your own stone.

Have a treasured piece of Pounamu that needs some attention? Struan also offers rewrapping and rebinding services to help bring your cherished taonga back to life.

Each carving is handcrafted with care and skill, making them a truly special gift or keepsake for yourself or a loved one.
