Because apparently making pretty things requires looking like this. 😂

When I’m working with cement, I’m dealing with fine cement dust — and while my finished products are safe to have in your home, breathing in fine cement dust is a completely different story.

Fine particles can irritate your eyes, nose, throat and lungs, so when I’m mixing, sanding or doing anything that creates dust, respiratory protection is a must.

And when your “studio” is a tiny room in your garage… keeping dust under control becomes even more important. 🫣

So you’ll usually find me with my respirator on, doors/windows open, trying to keep the dust down — and making an absolute mess in the process. 😂

The pretty stuff is only one part of making handmade homewares. 🤎

The other part is making them safely.

🕯️ SCHOOL HOLIDAY CANDLE WORKSHOP ✨

Looking for something fun and creative for the school holidays?

We’re opening up a few special kids candle-making workshops with Wick + Thread! 🤎

Each child will get to create their very own candle — choosing their colour, fragrance and finishing touches — then take their handmade creation home with them.

✨ $40 per child
🕯️ Candle making + decorating
🎨 Choose your own colour & fragrance
🎁 Take your finished candle home
📍 Location provided in Blenheim
⏰ Approx. 1–1.5 hours

Places will be limited, with just a few workshops available these school holidays.

Perfect for creative little ones who love making things with their hands! 🫶🏼

Introducing The Colour Edit 🌸

For my colour lovers… this one is for you. 👀

Every month, I’ll be creating a small handful of home décor pieces in colours and combinations that I’ve been wanting to experiment with.

Think 1–2 of each piece, sometimes completely one-of-a-kind.

It’s a little creative space for me to play with colour, try something different and make pieces outside of my usual collections — so once they’re gone, they’re gone. 🤎

I’ll give myself the time to create, sand and seal each piece properly before releasing the next Edit.

There’s something so satisfying about pouring a fresh batch… even though the really exciting part is still to come. 😂

Because I won’t know exactly how these have turned out until I unmould them tomorrow. 👀

A little experiment from the studio… 👀🌿

I had an idea in my head and needed to see if I could actually make it happen.

I’m not sure if this is the beginning of something… or just one very pretty experiment 😂

But I am a little obsessed with how this turned out. 🤍

After weeks of chaos, unpacking, rearranging, painting, moving everything approximately 47 times 😂… the studio is finally feeling like me again.

And honestly? I forgot how much I love this little space.

It’s where the ideas happen, the questionable experiments happen, the “surely this will work” moments happen… and eventually, the pieces you see on the website come to life.

There’s a few old favourites sitting on these shelves, a few new things in the works and probably more than enough for me to find another project to start 😂

So if you’ve been around for a while, welcome back into the studio.
And if you’re new here… this is where all the good stuff starts. ✨
