I’m back!! I’m so grateful to Karen for keeping the Boutique open while I was visiting my family. And grateful to you all for your continued support and understanding of the change of hours for July. Regular hours are now back. I arrived back to more gorgeous leather from the Baron Leather Group. The embossed detail on these bags is subtle and elegant. Perfect. Available in black (as shown in the video)?espresso, and tan. I’ve missed you all! Can’t wait to see you in the Boutique and to catch up with what’s been happening for you!

Hello my lovely people! Please make a note that the Boutique will have shortened hours through to the end of July. So Wednesday through Saturday Karen will be looking after the Boutique and all of you, from 10am - 3pm. The Boutique will be closed Sunday through Tuesday. Thanks for your understanding. Regular hours resume August 1st.

PSA!! Agi from Vesu is running school holiday mini workshops! The Winter Wooly Holiday Programme is for ages 8+ and will be held in her studio in Browns Bay. She’s also running full term workshops for adults for term 3 up in Orewa and Gulf Harbour. I have more information here at the Boutique if you want to pick up a brochure.

Whatever the weather we have more leather!! Just in from Rugged Hide, we have the smaller phone bags and handbags in the firmer, more structured leather, minimalistic style, RFID secure lining and the very on trend colour way.

A wee bit of colour to brighten up your winter walks. These leather bags are perfect for a casual day when all you need is your sunnies, your phone, a few cards and some lippy! Absolutely joyous colours! I thought it was a good time to inject some joyful colours into winter! Both styles are under $80.00 so these are great value!

We all know it’s important to be smart with our own money — but today I was reminded that we can also be smart about helping local small businesses keep more of theirs. 💕

I was visiting the amazing Bath Boutique, owned by a very special lady who has provided the most fantastic service to her community, and it got me thinking…

When we shop local, we already help by choosing their beautiful products, recommending them, and coming back again. But there’s another small thing we can do that often gets overlooked:

How we pay.

Every time we tap, swipe, or use certain cards, the business may pay payment processing fees. For small businesses with tight margins, those little fees can really add up.

So next time you’re supporting a local store, consider:

✅ Paying by EFTPOS or cash where possible
✅ Avoiding credit card payments if you don’t need to use one
✅ Asking the business, “What payment method is best for you?”
✅ Accepting that a tiny change in how we pay can make a real difference over time

It’s not just about saving our own money — it’s about helping local businesses save theirs too.
