Our New Lives Op Shop is running low on a few items, and we'd love your help!
If you're having a clean-out, we're currently looking for:
👕 Men's clothing (clean, good resaleable condition, no marks or holes)
🧒 Children's clothing (clean, good resaleable condition, no marks or holes)
🛏️ Linen (clean condition, no rips or major stains)
If you have any of these items to spare, we'd be so grateful for your donations.

This post was not meant to cause any distress and for that we apologise.

There is CCTV footage of items being taken from younger lady in photo and leaving our premises with stolen goods.

We would like these items returned.

PLASTIC BAGS NEEDED! 🛍️

Our op shop is looking for clean, reusable plastic shopping bags to help package customers’ purchases.

If you have any spare bags at home that you no longer need, we would really appreciate your donations! 💛

The New Lives Op Shop is totally out of childrens clothing. If you have any that are not wanted we would love to have them. We just ask that they are in clean condition. (not stained or ripped).

We’ve been busy behind the scenes with our community desexing programme and there are a few changes that will be coming soon.

We’re onboarding a new veterinary clinic and we’re excited to have them join us! We’re aiming to have them up and running as part of the New Lives family in August, and details will be announced closer to the time.

Dog desexing in specific areas will be returning. It will be limited to specific council boundaries and eligibility criteria will be stricter than before.

Unfortunately, due to previous abuse of the automated voucher system, dog vouchers will be manually created and you will be required to show proof of your address and photos of your dog.

Vouchers will now have a strict use by date. Our team has been spending a lot of time chasing people and it’s not sustainable. Use it or lose it.

We’re unfortunately pulling the community desexing programme from the Hauraki and Matamata-Piako districts.

It’s a decision that our team struggled with, and we have been honoured to help the people that we have, but there have been a number of hurdles that have made running the programme in these districts more difficult than usual.

Any Kaimai Vets vouchers outstanding must be redeemed by 22nd August 2026.

More details about the new area coverage and updated guidelines will be shared soon.

We are excited to announce that Lives Rescue is expanding our community desexing programme into a new area, helping even more families access affordable desexing and reduce unwanted litters in our communities.

Unfortunately, due to repeated dishonesty and misuse of the programme by a small number of people, we now need to introduce stricter eligibility requirements and verification processes moving forward.
These changes are not something we wanted to do, but they are necessary to ensure the programme remains fair, sustainable, and available for those who genuinely need support.

Our goal has always been to help as many animals and families as possible while making sure donations and funding are used responsibly. We appreciate the understanding and continued support from our amazing community as we grow this important initiative.

Donations!

We’re incredibly grateful for the ongoing support and generosity from our community 💛

At this time, we kindly ask that donations of women’s clothing be paused. Unfortunately, for a while now we’ve been receiving a high volume of items that are not suitable for resale, which limits our ability to make the best use of the space and resources we have.

We have been receiving a large amount of other unsaleable items which again means are resources are stretched not to mention our rubbish bill.

Donations of clean, not stained or ripped, mens and childrens clothing is appreciated.

We truly appreciate your understanding and continued support. If you’re unsure about what items we can currently accept, please feel free to reach out—we’re always happy to help!
